Quest Primary
Mission:
Inspiring all, to achieve in learning for life
Our School
Quest Primary School is a single form entry school located in South Croydon serving the community of Monks Hill and beyond. We work in partnership with our neighbour secondary school, The Quest Academy, to provide the best possible educational outcomes and experiences for our pupils. Our focus on developing excellent teaching and learning, supported by an engaging and ambitious curriculum offer ensures that pupils can achieve their potential, in a supportive and caring environment. Our staff provide a calm and purposeful learning environment where good behaviour and mutual respect is modelled by everyone and where everyone is valued, so that pupils enjoy coming to school and are enthusiastic about their learning. We also provide specialist teaching for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties in our Enhanced Learning Provision.Â
We have a large site with wonderful spacious grounds, including our EYFS outdoor learning area. We have a computer suite for all children to access as well as tablets and iPads that are used to support learning within the classroom. Our new dedicated space for teaching DT and science is equipped with ovens, fridges, sinks and work areas, which supports building academic and life skills. We have a fantastic nurture room which offers a space for children who receive additional interventions to access ELSA, counselling and art therapies, as well as lunchtime clubs. Our facilities enable us to provide the very best learning environment and learning experiences for our pupils.Â
Our Pupils
Quest Primary School pupils are hard-working, polite, respectful and understand that learning changes lives. We believe in giving our children opportunities to enrich their formal academic learning through sport, music and the arts, as well as providing them with opportunities to develop their leadership skills. Our school values of Excellence, Responsibility and Aspiration, support every child to strive to reach their best, ensuring they leave Quest Primary School as confident, well-rounded and kind young people, with the academic skills they require to be successful at the next stage of their education. Our children are inclusive and value and celebrate the differences and experiences that they share as a school community, adhering to our behaviour rules of ‘be ready, be respectful and be safe.’Â
Professional Development
Quest Primary School supports high-quality professional development for all staff. This is enacted through our CPD programme and Performance Development processes. We welcome young people to take on their work experience with us, and work closely with university providers to provide placements for students. We offer a strong programme of support for Early Career Teachers through our partnership with the South Croydon Learning Alliance. Our aim in all appointments is to appoint colleagues who will share our aspirations and make a major contribution to building the best life chances for our Quest Primary pupils.
The Collegiate Trust
Quest Primary School converted to academy status and joined the Collegiate Trust in September 2018. The Collegiate Trust is a multi-academy trust that exists to offer Exceptional Education for All. It consists of five primary and four secondary schools in Croydon and Crawley, offering education for young people up to the age of 18.
